  • Drag the file to one of the following places: Clip list, existing track, empty space in the edit window (this will create a new track).
  • To import audio by dragging, follow these steps: Spot opens the Spot dialogue which lets you place the file(s) to a precise location based on the time scale. Selection aligns the beginning of the file(s) with the edit cursor or to the beginning of a selection. Song Start places the file(s) in line with the song start marker. Session Start places the file(s) at the beginning of the session. Clip List puts the audio files into the clip list without creating a new track. New Track will put each audio file into its own track.
  • When the Audio Import Options dialogue opens, select where the imported files will go in the session.
  • If you are copying or converting files, select a location for the new files.
  • When you have added all the files to the import list that you want, you can apply sample rate conversions by doing doing the following: Enable Apply SRC, specify the Source Sample Rate, and select the sample rate conversion quality from the Quality pop-up menu.
  • You can also remove clips from the import list by selecting the file you want removed and clicking Remove, or just clicking Remove All. You can also import all the files in a directory by clicking Add All or Convert All.
  • To place a file in the Import list, select the file and click Add or Convert.
  • The horizontal slider allows you to listen to a particular place within the audio file being previewed. You can use the vertical slider to adjust playback volume.
  • To preview a selected file or clip before importing, click the Play button in the Import Audio dialogue.
